YOUR JOB and YOUR CAREER
CAN BE MEANINGFUL and FULFILLING

You might have a decent or even great job and career, but a subtle nudge is pushing you to explore what's next...

Or you might be actively thinking about what's next for you...

Or maybe the circumstances haven't been great to you and you're forced to examine your career...

The old way of thinking about our jobs is based on skills-and-experience approach.

But:

  • Skills are like clothes; they get outdated or worn out; and you can always get new ones
  • Experiences are much more transferable than we give them credit to be
  • And lastly, if the skills-and-experience approach hasn't brought you a sense of meaning and satisfaction so far, why would you expect it in the future?

To find fulfillment and satisfaction, you need a different paradigm of thinking.

The Career Leap Method is a guided, inquiry-based process that will ground you in your career values and establishes values-driven mindset. This mindset allows for new ways of thinking about where and what you can be doing.

Throughout our life, we're taught how to acquire knowledge, learn new technologies and  sharpen our soft skills, we aren't taught how to align our careers to our values.

And we spend a significant part of our lives at work.

According to recent Gallup polls, only about 15% of the workforce experiences satisfaction.

At the same time, on the other side of the spectrum, we hear voices shouting, "Follow your passion! Follow your passion!"  While that worked for a few, it isn't clear how the rest of us should navigate our careers...

This is why we developed The Career Leap Method.

The Career Leap Method

The Premise

If you're experiencing lasting dissatisfaction with your work, it is because your work is not aligned with your career values. Even if you're producing great results, receiving promotions, and earning raises...

Your fulfillment, satisfaction and sense of meaning at work are measured against the career values dimensions.

Step A: Foundation

1. Your career values.

You don't need to develop or invent your career values. They already live inside of you. The method is designed tease them out.

At the end, you'll be able to articulate your career values in a simple clear statement that represents you.

2. Your strengths.

Corporate culture focuses on weaknesses within performance evaluations demanding  actionable plans to address them.

While some weaknesses need to be addressed, the most effective way to build your career is around your strengths - the qualities, often natural, that have consistently produced results for you.

3. Personal considerations.

You will be clear about additional areas that are important to you, e.g. your financial freedom, flexibility, recognition or travel.

Step B. Career Path Map

Your career values, strengths and personal considerations provide a foundation for you to create your Career Path Map, a set of leap ideas of where you can work and what you could do.

We will examine three areas:

  1. Current situation: your current job, department, company and industry
  2. Blue sky: other industries, organizations and roles that align with your values; problems worth spending your time and energy to solve
  3. Your dream: we will examine your dreams.

Your Career Path Map is a wide range of ideas and possibilities, rooted in your values and strengths, for your career leap.

Step C. The Career Leap

Considering your life circumstances and risk tolerance, you'll be able to identify a target area on your Career Path Map that you want to pursue. We will explore both pragmatic and idealistic leaps and hope to approach them.

We will discuss practical matters: how to structure your resume, approach job search and prepare for interviews.

Viva your next career leap!

We are creating a paradigm shift in how you think about your career and approach your work search.

And for this you need a guide...

Meet Misha Rubin
Your Program Leader

Hello, I am Misha. After years of fruitful corporate career, I now focus on activities that make a difference for others and spark joy in my heart. One of those projects is The Career Leap.

For the past twenty years, I was deeply immersed into both the material world and spiritual realm. Now, I bring both these paradigms together to empower people and organizations.

Untill recently, I was a partner at a "Big Four" management consulting & accounting firm, where I spent 15 glorious years. I managed $100M+ worth of projects; navigated dozens of corporate cultures; advised hundreds of clients; built countless number of strategies, processes and systems; and managed and guided the careers of hundreds of professionals.

Additionally, I was the partner in charge of the Flexibility & Work-Life Balance initiative that created significant quantifiable and recognized impact for our employees.

While managing a demanding consultant career, I released a music album of my original songs "Are We Ready" (under Misha Lyuve), developed a jewelry line, wrote a blog, traveled the world, adopted three kids, and served as a board member of Worldwide Orphans.

In my spiritual and personal transformation work, I've been a committed student of incredible educational organizations and masters, including Landmark Worldwide, Clairvision School of Meditation, Sophie McLean, Eckhart Tolle, Michael Singer, David Deida, Osho among others.

Lastly, I have a B.A. in Computer Science & Math from NYU and completed Harvard's Leadership Program.

What others say...

"The program allowed me to step away from 'my job as means of survival' mindset and recall what I am actually passionate about in life and in my career."

"Best investment in myself and my career."

"No more 'justified paralysis'! I’m ready to rock and roll and meet with my next CEO!"

"Because of the program I took actions outside of my comfort zone."

"The process revealed strengths I hadn’t allowed myself to recognize as beneficial to others in their career - and life."

Life is too short and precious not do meaningful and satisfying work.
